On Saturday, October 6th the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union hosts a community education seminar on Medicare.
Attorney Kumu Belcher and Medicare Specialist Peter Amelotte will teach you the basics of what you should know about Medicare enrollment and Estate Planning, to make informed decisions for yourself and your family. Learn the basics before you choose what's best for you.
Peter will focus on the need to enroll in Medicare, at the right time, so you do not have to bare the burden of a lifetime penalty, the benefits of Medicare Part A and Part B, the necessity of additional health coverage to fill the gaps in Medicare benefits and Medicare Part D for prescription drug coverage.
Kumu will go over the basic Estate Planning documents (Will, Trust, Power of Attorney, etc.) and plans, as well as scenarios of different situations and values. Estate Planning controls who inherits a person's property and how and when that inheritance is received.
